Sigma Rho

​ The Samplers Club, an organization composed of prominent students at the School of Mines, has recently petitioned and been accepted by Sigma Rho, National Mining Fraternity. A charter has been granted the local organization as Delta Chapter of the fraternity, and installation will be held near the middle of May.
​
Sigma Rho was started a number of years ago at the Michigan College of Mines (Alpha Chapter), where it existed for some time as a local. Expansion toward becoming a national organization began when Beta Chapter was started at the University of Minnesota, and more recently a charter was granted to Gamma Chapter, at the University of Kentucky. The membership at present is near six hundred. Sigma Rho is a professional fraternity, as only men who are candidates for degrees in Mining, Metallurgy and Geology are admitted to active membership, instructors in mining colleges being admitted as associate members. Sigma Rho Delta Chapter

​ Sigma Rho is a professional fraternity, organized for the purpose of bringing together and promoting good fellowship among its members who are only those men interested in Mining, Geological, or Metallurgical Engineering. The organization was started at the Michigan School of Mines several years ago, but since then it has spread so at present there are four active chapters. Delta chapter was organized at the Montana State School of Mines in the sprint of 1927.

Sigma Rho Delta Chapter

​ Sigma Rho is a professional fraternity organized for the purpose of bringing together and promoting good fellowship among its members who are vitaly interested in mining, metallurgical or geological engineering. The Delta chapter was organized in the spring of 1927 at the Montana State School of Mines and has since continued to grow rapidly.
