The Sigma Rho Incorporate (Inc.) Board of Directors shall be responsible for soliciting, investing and distributing gifts and/or funds. The objectives shall be to:

1. Seek preservation of Sigma Rho Fraternity (Fraternity) as a thriving student organization focusing on 
   the long-term vitality of the Fraternity, and

2. Provide a quality residence chapter house for active Fraternity members.

 

The office of Vice President for Fund Management (VPFM) shall be responsible for both project and endowment fundraising. The Office of Vice President for Physical Assets through the House and Grounds Standing Committee shall recommend projects to the Inc. Board of Directors for approval for fundraising. The VPFM shall determine the method(s) necessary to successfully acquire the funds for such projects. The VPFM may utilize other Inc. board members and alumni to assist in the fundraising efforts.

 

The current Endowment Fund has been established and has been designated as the 3rd Council Fund. Other funds may be established as a part of the Endowment Fund. The objective of the 3rd Council Fund is to grow this fund with donations and investment growth to a certain level as determined by the Inc. Board of Directors. When this level has been achieved, the Inc. Board of Directors will determine the amount and frequency of withdrawals from the 3rd Council Fund. These withdrawals should be utilized to offset the expenses of operating the Fraternity chapter house.

The Inc. Treasurer shall be responsible for all funds donated to Inc. The Inc. Treasurer shall ensure donors who have designated donations to specific projects, Endowment Fund or other areas, that such donations are deposited in the appropriate accounts. Donations that are not designated shall be deposited into accounts at the discretion of the Inc. Treasurer. Funds that are surplus to specific projects shall be deposited into accounts at the discretion of the Inc. Treasurer.

 

The VPFM shall be responsible for implementing a program to acknowledge donors that provide donations to project accounts, Endowment Fund or any other account for operating and maintaining the Fraternity chapter house.
