Sigma Rho 131st Annual Alumni Reunion

This year is Sigma Rho's 131st Birthday! 

Mark your calanders to make sure you can attend the annual Lawn Party to catch up with your brothers and enjoy getting away the best way, by spending time in Beautiful Chassell Michigan.

Thursday, August 3

All Day - Yard games, volleyball, horseshoes, etc., Lawn Party Prep activities at the house

Alumni Gathering at the Doghouse, night - An annual tradition, we'll head to the Dog in downtown Houghton for a drink or five. Stop in and catch up with friends and brothers!

Friday, August 4

All Day - Yard games, volleyball, horseshoes, etc.

Golf, morning - Foursomes will be reserved at the MTU golf course. If you're interested in golf, please RSVP HERE.

Horseshoe Tournament sign-ups, all day - The annual horseshoe tournament will take place Saturday after meeting, but sign-ups will be open Friday. The cost is $20 per team, with the winning team taking the pot (and proceeding to donate it to the house!).

Dinner at the House, evening - Actives will be grilling burgers and hot dogs, general sides to be provided, followed by party time.

Bonfire, dusk - Weather permitting, bonfire at the house.

Saturday, August 5

Annual Meeting, 10:30AM - 12:00 PM - The Sigma Rho annual meeting will begin at 10:30 AM in the Sigma Rho Chapter Room. You will hear from the incorporate board about the last year of Sigma Rho, plans we have for the future, as well as electing 3 new incorporate board members. Please arrive before 10:30 to allow time to socialize and find a seat in the Chapter Room. Link to be provided in finalized agenda for Zoom.

Horseshoe Tournament, 12:00 PM - The annual horseshoe tournament will begin following the Annual Meeting. Final signups will take place at the Annual Meeting. The first two teams will be informed Saturday morning that they are playing following the meeting. Subsequent teams will be informed when they are on deck to play. Pending sign-ups, the initial games may be played to 15 on a time limit to prevent the tournament from going past dusk. The semifinals and finals will be played to 21 with no time limit.

Lawn Party Photo, afternoon - We love to document the annual Lawn Party with a group photo. Photo will be taken somewhere on the house property, probably at the mine hoist. Goat herders wanted for this task! Be sure to wear your finest burlap.Dinner and Drinks, afternoon/evening - Food details TBD. A fine assortment of beverages to be offered, served direct from Bob's bar.

Fireworks Show and Bonfire, Dusk - A fireworks show to cap off Lawn Party, followed by a bonfire (weather-dependent).
